But yes, my little reprobates, I am putting Flying Biscuits Syndrome on an indefinite hiatus.

The main reason I make this comic is because it is a catharsis for me. That's how it started out in the beginning, I never thought it would become popular within my group of friends nor when I started putting it online that people from all over the world would read it. Thank goodness for Twitter, eh? Lately, I have been struggling what I can draw and write about as a lot of it is very ad-hoc, there's no schedule to follow because this is not what I am trying to do as a full-time job. Very much a spur of the moment schedule. This means that a lot of time can pass before I post an update, also I may have good intentions about a particular subject, but it doesn't always go how I planned. I am sure that this happens to a lot of artists who make comics full-time. Take my post about coming out as pansexual, after talking with some people I realised that it could potentially offend those who identify as bi; again not my intention.

Maybe that's it, I'm not an artist, I am not particularly well-read or nerdy for that matter, and sometimes when I want to post about a particular subject, given my political background, I feel that I just cannot convey eloquently noelr clearly what I want to say. To say the least, it depresses me sometimes. I've put unrealistic expectations on myself when it's not necessary; this is only a bit of fun. So, I've decided to come back to this at a later time. I have a list of posts I want to do and maybe I might fall into a better habit when I come back. Maybe even create a dedicated Facebook page. There are also some personal matters I need to work through before I come back to Flying Biscuits.

Quietly Put the Phone Down...

Hey all!

I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth, I just haven't done any new Biscuits in a while. I am still trying to get to grips with using GIMP image editor and drawing tablet for tracing over the scanned images.

I gotta tell ya, as a complete amateur in EVERYTHING, it ain't easy :P

But I'll persevere, I enjoy having this blog site for posting my strips and I love how visits this site has had since March. Including Alex Woolfson! :D

I am growing out my goatee so I can plait it and put a ring. Initially, I was going for the Jack Sparrow look, but I opted for the pseudo-Viking look. The ring is actually called a Viking styled beard ring :D

Yeah? Well even if you don't like it, tough tits :P

Taking a little break

Hi all!

Just a little break, I am in the middle of drawing my friends as Adventure Time characters, getting the Half Life strip I've been trying to finish for the last 4 months :P and finally getting #MoltenCrazy started.

I aim to post 100 panels before the end of the year :) I may include some older stuff I have previously scanned in.

It is quite exciting though. 440 views since I started this page and even Alex Woolfson enjoyed the little strip I did for him. Holy shit, man! :D

New Things To Try

In November I was given a type of drawing pad that connects to the computer like a mouse for my birthday. I also use a mouse scanner to scan in those small images that I draw. Once I have uploaded all of the strips I have already scanned in and titled (and so on, and so forth), any new ones I make I will scan in as normal, but re-draw the images using GIMP.

Thus, making it easier to copy and paste certain expressions I have trouble with. The main one is the cute/sad eyes in the anime style (also seen a lot in Adventure Time :3).

Any tips? Ideas are welcome.

Update on the posting

Hi Everyone!


I just want to let you know that there will be a hiatus on the posting of strips. This is due to the fact that I have decided to modify the ones I will be uploading to here as I change the names of the characters to save identity (those who requested it).

Sorry about this, but enjoy number 13 in the meantime :)
